
Cloutier and Ford Recalled to AHL

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that goalie Todd Ford has been recalled to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey league and goalie Frederic Cloutier has been recalled to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.
The Ice Pilots have signed goalies Jomar Cruz and Matt Carmichael for tonight's home game vs. Bakersfield at 7:05 p.m.
Ford has played in 6 games with the Ice Pilots this season posting a record of 2-4-0 with a 4.10 goals against average and .894 save percentage. Cloutier has played in 12 games with the Ice Pilots this year posting a record of 5-4-2 with a 3.70 goals against average and .912 save percentage.
Cruz, who stands 6'2" and weighs 200 pounds, has played in 11 games with Fayetteville this season of the SPHL posting a record of 5-3-2 with a 3.02 goals against average and .914 save percentage. He played in 28 games with Winston Salem of the SPHL last year posting a record of 8-15-0 with a 5.02 goals against average.
Cruz has also played for Macon in the ECHL and the University of Manitoba. He played his junior hockey in the WHL for Brandon, Tri-City and Portland. Cruz was selected in the 2nd round and was the 49th player taken overall by Washington Capitals in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. He is 25 years old from The Pas, Manitoba.
Carmichael, who stands 6'1" and weighs 175 pounds, has played in 12 games with Huntsville of the SPHL posting a record of 8-3. He played in 48 games last season for Huntsville posting a record of 26-21-0 with a 2.77 goals against average and .921 save percentage.
Carmichael has also played for Tulsa, El Paso and San Antonio in the CHL, Port Huron of the UHL, Louisville and Roanoke of the ECHL, North Bay of the OHL and Hull of the QMJHL. He is 28 years old from Ottawa, Ontario.
The Ice Pilots will host the Bakersfield Condors tonight at 7:05 p.m. and will play Bakersfield again tomorrow afternoon at 4:05 p.m. This weekend in the Triple Play Jackpot Weekend. $15,000 to be given away over the weekend. To qualify for the prize money, fans must be a season ticket holder or purchased the Triple Play Jackpot Weekend ticket package.
The first 500 fans will receive mouse pads tonight. Chris Heid and Adam Courchaine will sign autographs after the game. A Teddy Bear Toss will take place at tomorrow's home game. Fans are asked to bring stuffed animal Teddy Bears to the game and throw them onto the ice when the Ice Pilots score their first goal of the game.
