Tides Topple Bulls 9-1

Durham Bulls News Release
NORFOLK, VA - Bulls first baseman Kyle Manzardo tripled on a line drive to left field in the top of the sixth inning, followed by a double in the eight inning which put right fielder Ben Gamel in position to score. Bulls third baseman Osleivis Basabe recorded one single in Durham's 9-1 loss to the Tides on Tuesday evening at Harbor Park.
The Tides established the lead in the bottom of the first when SS Jordan Westburg smashed a 3-run homer. RF Daz Cameron also earned a 3run homer in the bottom of the fourth, bringing the score to 6-0. Norfolk totaled 15 hits including 9 RBI.
Norfolk starting pitcher Drew Rom (6.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 11 SO) earned the win, while Durham starter Elvin Rodriguez (4.0 IP, 8 H, 7 R, 7 ER, 3 BB, 5 SO) suffered the loss.
The two teams are set to face off again on Wednesday at Harbor Park, with first pitch scheduled for 12:05pm. The Bulls starting pitcher is to be announced and will be opposed by LHP DL Hall.
