
Thunder Tabs Former NHL Exec as VP of Ticket Sales

Wichita, KS - The Wichita Thunder, proud member of the ECHL and powered by Toyota, are excited to announce that the team has hired Michael McCoy as their new VP of Ticket Sales.
A native of Hugoton, Kansas, McCoy brings a wealth of experience to the Thunder. He served as the Vice President of Luxury Suites for the Arizona Coyotes and was instrumental in suite sales for the new Glendale Arena, home of the Arizona Coyotes.
He also spent time with the Dallas Stars and Texas Rangers (co-owned by Southwest Sports Group), running their season ticket department, luxury suite sales and with the team when they opened the American Airlines Center, home of the Dallas Stars.
McCoy also served as the Director of Sales for the Anaheim Ducks. He was responsible for luxury suite sales, season ticket sales and collaboration with community relations to promote the Anaheim Ducks in the community.
Prior to his sports career, McCoy spent several years in the hotel industry including Hilton National Sales, Sales Manager at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA, Sales Manager at the Pointe Hilton Resort in Phoenix, AZ and Front Office Manager at the Hyatt Lake Tahoe, CA.
The Kansas native grew up in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and attended the University of Arkansas. He has two children, Bailey and Macallan McCoy.
Wichita remains on the road on Friday night with a trip to Independence against the Mavericks at 7:05 p.m.
