
Monarchs Sign Harlow, Get Carr Back from Providence

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Rich Seeley, announced tonight that the Monarchs signed Matt Harlow and received Doug Carr back from loan by Providence (AHL).
Harlow, 23, played 14 games with the Monarchs this season, scoring four points on two goals and two assists before being traded to the Alaska Aces on Jan. 18. With the Aces, Harlow played eight games without scoring a point.
The 5-foot-10, 180-pound Bridgewater, Mass. native has played in 40 ECHL games in his professional career between the Monarchs, Aces, and Elmira Jackals, scoring nine points on three goals and six assists. Before turning pro, Harlow attended Brown University, playing in 127 games while scoring 36 points on 17 goals and 19 assists.
Carr, 26, returns to the Monarchs after being loaned to the Providence Bruins (AHL) on an emergency basis. With the Monarchs, Carr has played in 17 games, posting an 8-5-0-4 record, a 2.75 GAA and a 0.917 save percentage.
The Hanover, Mass. native played collegiately at UMass-Lowell before signing with the Adirondack Heat (AHL) for the 2013-14 season. In his career, Carr has played in18 AHL games, posting a 6-5-4 record. In the ECHL, Carr has played to an 18-15-4 record between the Monarchs and Colorado Eagles.
Harlow, Carr and the Monarchs are back in action Friday, Mar. 4 (7 p.m.) when they host the Orlando Solar Bears for the start of a three-game series with their East Division rivals. The Monarchs will be hosting the Goodwill Clothing Drive that evening, and ask all fans to bring lightly used or new clothing to donate to those in need.
