Mac Carruth Reassigned to Fuel

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks announced Thursday that the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs have reassigned goaltender Mac Carruth to the Fuel.

The 23-year-old Carruth was recalled to the IceHogs on Jan. 23, and appeared in five games during his most recent AHL stint, posting a 0-2-1 record, a 3.16 goals against average and a .892 save percentage. The netminder from Jackson, Wyo. shows a 4-5-1 record in 16 AHL games through three seasons with Rockford beginning in 2013-14.

A seventh round draft pick of the Blackhawks in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft (No. 191 overall), Carruth has a 12-7-0-2 mark through 21 games played with the Fuel this season. He currently ranks in the top 15 among ECHL goaltenders in both save percentage (.923 - 8th) and goals against average (2.30 - 14th).
