ANCHORAGE, ALASKA -The Alaska Aces have announced that forward Janick Asselin will join the club off after being acquired from the Norfolk Admirals for defenseman Davis Vandane.

Aces President of Hockey Operations and Head Coach Rob Murray made the announcement Thursday.

A native of Coaticook, BC, the 5-foot-6, 160-pound foward played in 8 games this season for Norfolk. Asselin collected 3 points (0g, 3a) and 6 penalty minutes.

Vandane departs after playing in 29 games for Alaska, scoring one goal with 3 assists for 4 points and 2 penalty minutes.

Alaska continues a 3 game series in Idaho Friday after dropping the opener 4-3 in overtime Wednesday.

The Aces return home to face Ft. Wayne Wednesday, March 9.
