Gwinnett Stripers News Release
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Drew Lugbauer batted in the tying runs in the third inning, and the go-ahead run in the seventh inning to power the Gwinnett Stripers' (57-67) best offensive game of the series in a 7-4 victory over the Nashville Sounds (67-57) on Sunday afternoon at Coolray Field.
Decisive Plays: Nashville took a 2-0 lead in the top of the third, but Gwinnett tied the game on a two-run single by Lugbauer in the home half. The Stripers took their first lead in the fourth, but Keston Hiura singled in a pair of runs to make it 4-3 Nashville in the fifth. Daniel Robertson grounded out but drove in a run in the sixth to tie the game, and Lugbauer brought in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the seventh. Gwinnett scored two insurance runs in the eighth before Grant Holmes recorded the save (12) in the ninth.
Key Contributors: Lugbauer (2-for-3, 3 RBIs) had the first three-RBI day of his Triple-A career while Robertson (1-for-4, 2 RBIs) had the other multi-RBI game. Lucas Luetge (W, 1-0) threw a scoreless seventh inning for the victory. For Nashville, Hiura (1-for-4, 2 RBI) wrapped up a strong series with a pair of RBIs.
