
Hens take Series Finale

Toledo Mud Hens News Release
Toledo, OH - The Toledo Mud Hens defeated the Louisville Bats 6-1 in the series finale to finish the road trip.
Jack O'Loughlin made the start on the mound for the Toledo Mud Hens. O'Loughlin kept the game scoreless until the top of the second inning, Matt Reynolds hit a sacrifice fly that scored Jayson Volser to bring in the games first run and give the Bats a 1-0.
That 1-0 lead didn't last long. In the top of the fourth inning, the Mud Hens were able to load the bases with one out. Dillon Dingler grounded a ball into center field to score Nick Maton and Eddys Leonard to give the Hens a 2-1 lead in the fourth.
In the top of the fifth inning, Mud hens top prospect Colt Keith smashed a solo home run to put the Hens up 3-1.
Bats starting pitched Levi Stout finished his day after pitching five innings for Bats and then was replaced by Silvino Bracho. Bracho was rudely welcomed by the Mud Hens offense. Ryan Kreidler roped a solo home run to give the Hens a 4-1 lead. Later in the inning, the Mud Hens and runners on the corner with two outs for Colt Keith. Keith roped a single into right field to score Dillion Dingler and give the Hens a 5-1 lead after six innings.
Jack O'Loughlin had a very strong outing for the Mud Hens, pitching five innings and only allowing one run to score. O'Loughlin was replaced by Mason Englert who pitched a scoreless sixth inning.
Both bullpens kept the game a 5-1 score until the top of the ninth inning. In the top of the ninth, Andre Lipcius roped a double off the wall in right-center field to score Colt Keith and give the Hens a 6-1 lead.
In the bottom of the ninth inning, Miguel Diaz entered the game and shut the door on the bats, allowing one walk but striking out three batters to secure the 6-2 win for the Mud Hens. The Mud Hens bullpen combined for four shut out innings in the victory.
