The Rochester Red Wings dropped the series finale against Worcester Sunday afternoon, marking their fourth consecutive series loss dating back to 8/1 at Scranton/WB. CF Derek Hill logged two hits after being reinstated from the Injured List earlier Sunday morning, while SS Richie Martin logged his second triple of the season and has now hit safely in five of his last six games.

For the 11th time in the last 12 games, Wings opponents scored first as Worcester got on the board in the top of the first inning on an RBI double from 3B Yu Chang. After a single from 2B Enmanuel Valdez put runners on the corners, RF Bobby Dalbec connected on a sacrifice fly to make the score 2-0. Valdez moved to third on a wild pitch, and came around to score on another sacrifice fly to give the WooSox a three run lead before the Wings could come to the plate.

1B Jack Dunn walked with one out in the second, and motored around to score on SS Richie Martin's second triple of the season. The score remained 3-1 until the fourth, when SS Ceddanne Rafaela launched a two-run shot that scored 1B Niko Kavadas to extend the Worcester lead to four.

Dalbec connected on a solo home run to center field in the fifth, his 31st of the year to make the score 6-1. Worcester took control in the seventh, scoring four runs on four hits to extend their lead to 10-1. They would go on to score two more in the eighth on a Yu Chang home run and Bobby Dalbec triple, putting him a double shy of the cycle. Rochester went quietly in the ninth, losing 12-1.

RHP Roddery Muñoz made his sixth start with the Wings Sunday afternoon, allowing five earned on four hits while striking out two and walking four through 4.0 innings of work. LHP Anthony Banda logged an inning in relief, allowing one earned on one hit with one strikeout. LHP Joe La Sorsa followed with a scoreless inning on one hit while striking out two. RHP Hobie Harris and RHP Daniel Mengden covered the seventh and eighth, combining to allow six earned on seven hits.

Sunday afternoon's Diamond Pro Player of the Game is CF Derek Hill. The Iowa native finished the game 2-for-4 in his return to the lineup after being reinstated from the Injured List. From the beginning of the season until his injury on 7/30, he ranked second on the team in hits (81) while leading the team in runs scored (53).

The Wings will take tomorrow off before welcoming Scranton/WB to town on Tuesday for the second half of their two-week homestand. LHP Alemao Hernandez is slated to make his third career Triple-A start. First pitch is scheduled for 6:45 p.m.
