HERSHEY, Pa. - Stanislav Galiev, Cameron Schilling and Casey Wellman scored third-period goals and Philipp Grubauer made 22 saves, helping the Hershey Bears wipe out a 2-1 deficit and skate to a 4-2 victory over the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Friday night in front of 10,113 fans at GIANT Center.

After holding off a strong start by the Bears, the Phantoms would get on the board first. Jason Akeson made a strong play in the right corner to keep his balance after a hit. He was able to get a pass into the slot, where Blair Jones one-timed it off of the left post and into the net behind Grubauer at 5:08.

The Bears would finally solve Anthony Stolarz, who had blanked his opponents over the previous four-plus periods. Steve Oleksy carried deep into the right circle, faked a shot and slipped a pass to Tim Kennedy at the goal line. Kennedy angled a shot from a sharp angle off of the right post. The puck caromed to Chris Conner in the low slot, and Conner hurried a backhander over the sprawled netminder to tie the score.

But just 1:29 later, Jay Rosehill would strip Connor Carrick of the puck deep in Hershey territory. Rosehill walked out in front, and lifted a shot into the upper-left corner to put the Phantoms back on top.

The Bears had a two-man advantage lasting for the first 1:27 of the third period, and after failing on the first portion, connected while skating one man up. Carrick set up Galiev for a one-timer from the middle slot at 1:40, tying the contest.

Martin Ouellette would replace Stolarz early in the third period, and performed admirably. His only blemish turned out to be the Bears' game-winner. Chandler Stephenson skated up high at the left point, and spotted Schilling pinching in deep. Schilling tapped a perfect feed behind Ouellette at 15:58, giving Hershey their first lead of the game.

With Ouellette sitting in favor of a sixth attacker, Taylor Leier's attempt at a long pass out of the zone would deflect back into the empty net off of Wellman at 19:13, sealing the win for the Bears.

Grubauer snapped a personal five-game skid in improving to 10-8-4 on the season. Ouellette suffered the loss, making 13 saves on 14 shots in 17:45 of work.

The Bears remain home to host the Binghamton Senators tomorrow, December 27 at 7:00 PM. Individual tickets for this and all remaining home games are available at the GIANT Center box office, online at TicketMaster.com or by calling 717-508-BEAR.
