December 26, 2014 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Syracuse Crunch News Release
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch have recalled center Kevin Lynch from the ECHL's Florida Everblades, general manager Julien BriseBois announced today.
Lynch, 23, was signed to an American Hockey League contract Dec. 15 and loaned to Florida the same day. He has one goal in two games for the Everblades since then, totaling seven points (2g, 5a) in 11 games with the Everblades this season.
Lynch had one goal in 10 games for the Crunch after signing a professional tryout contact with Syracuse Nov. 12. He made his AHL debut Nov. 12 at Albany and was plus-1 with one shot. He scored his first AHL goal two days later, the game-winning goal, in a 5-1 victory against Hershey.
The 6-foot-1, 205-pound forward totaled 35 points in 63 ECHL games last season between the Toledo Walleye and the Evansville Icemen.
Lynch appeared in 168 games over four years at the University of Michigan totaling 72 points (35g, 37a). The Grosse Pointe, Michigan native was a second-round selection, 56th overall, of the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
The Crunch host the Albany Devils today and Worcester Sharks Saturday before visiting Springfield Sunday. Lynch will be available for Saturday's contest.
Single game and season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased either in person at the Crunch Box Office located at the War Memorial on 800 South State Street in Syracuse, or by calling the office at (315) 473-4444.
