CEDAR PARK, Texas - The Texas Stars continue their toughest stretch of the season with a pair of road games this week to close out their season-long trip before returning home against Grand Rapids on Saturday.

-- THIS WEEK'S SCHEDULE -- February 28 at Bakersfield Condors, 9 p.m. CST:

The Texas Stars square off against the Bakersfield Condors in the fifth of six total matchups this season between the two division rivals. The Stars have lost three of the previous four matchups and have been outscored, 16-11, in the season series overall. The Condors currently occupy the fourth and final playoff in the Pacific Division after winning their last three games.

March 1 at San Jose Barracuda, 9 p.m. CST:

The Stars close out their season-long road trip the same way it began with a matchup against San Jose. Texas is 1-2-0-0 against the Barracuda this season and San Jose is riding a 14-game winning streak entering this week. San Jose's Daniel O'Regan and Ryan Carpenter each have six points in three meetings against Texas this season to lead all skaters. The Barracuda are currently the top team in the Pacific Division.

March 4 vs. Grand Rapids Griffins, 7 p.m. CST:

The Stars and Griffins square off for the first time since the two teams split a two-game set in mid-November up in Michigan. Grand Rapids' Matt Lorito racked up six points (2-46) in the first two matchups to lead all skaters in the series. The Griffins are currently the top team in the AHL's Central Division and have won seven of their last 10.

March 5 at San Antonio Rampage, 3 p.m. CST:

The Texas Stars square off against the San Antonio Rampage in a Sunday matinee matchup. Texas currently holds a 6-3-0-0 record over their Pacific Division Rivals and has outscored San Antonio, 25-21, over the course of their first nine meetings. Stars forward Brandon DeFazio leads all skaters in the series with eight points (2-68) while Jim O'Brien (3-36) leads the Rampage with six points.

-- LAST WEEK'S RESULTS -- February 20 at San Jose Barracuda, 5-3 Loss:

Ludwig Bystrom scored his first two goals of the season for the Texas Stars, but the power play unit for the San Jose Barracuda was too much to overcome in a 5-3 loss on Monday evening at SAP Center to begin a six-game road trip. John McCarthy and Daniel O'Regan each scored a pair of goals for San Jose in the game. Remi Elie also scored for Texas in the loss. After coming on in relief for Texas, Max Lagace stopped 14 of 15 shots in net. Troy Grosenick backstopped the Barracuda to their 12th straight win with 28 saves. Both teams combined for five power play goals in the game.

February 22 at Stockton Heat, 5-1 Loss: A three-goal first period set the tone for the Stockton Heat and Jon Gillies took care of the rest with 31 saves in net to hand the Texas Stars a 5-1 loss on Wednesday night at Stockton Arena. Cole Ully scored the lone goal for Texas late in the third. Austin Carroll, Morgan Klimchuk and Linden Vey each scored the first period tallies for the Heat, who snapped a 10-game winless skid and picked up just their fourth win in their last 22 games.

February 24 at San Diego Gulls, 6-2 Loss:

Three power play goals by the San Diego Gulls were too much for the Texas Stars to overcome on Friday night in a 6-2 loss at Valley View Casino Center in the final matchup of the season between the two teams. San Diego went 3-for-5 on the man-advantage and held Texas scoreless on five opportunities. Jason Dickinson and Travis Morin each scored for Texas in the loss while San Diego's Chris Wagner scored a pair of goals.

February 26 at Stockton Heat, 4-1 Loss:

Goaltender David Rittich and the Stockton Heat put the clamps on the Texas Stars power play to hand the Stars a 4-1 loss on Sunday night at Stockton Arena. Rittich stopped 27 of 28 shots in net for the Heat and helped hold the Stars scoreless on seven power play opportunities in the game. Ethan Werek was the lone goal-scorer for Stars with his sixth of the season. Justin Peters suffered the loss stopping 25 of 28 shots for Texas.

-- NEWS, NOTES AND UPCOMING MILESTONES - Texas defenseman Nick Ebert is enjoying a career season and has been the team's hottest player in February. Of the 20 points Ebert has tallied this season, 10 came over his seven-game point streak which ended on Wednesday against Stockton. With an assist Feb. 20 in San Jose, Ebert established career-highs in goals, assists and points this season. The Stars current road stretch will span 1,474 total miles between their six games, which began on Feb. 20 and will end on March 1, both in San Jose.

-- UPCOMING PROMOTIONS -- The Stars return home on Saturday, March 4, to face the Grand Rapids Griffins at 7 p.m. CST. The game features a Stars Sunglasses. The game is also a Texas Lottery Lucky Row Night and will feature Coke Zero Family Four-Packs.
