Tampa Bay Lightning Recall Yanni Gourde, Adam Erne from Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled forwards Yanni Gourde and Adam Erne from the Syracuse Crunch, Lightning vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced today.

Gourde, 25, has skated in two games with the Lightning this season, recording one shot on goal. The Saint-Narcisse, Quebec native has skated in four career NHL games, all with the Bolts over the past two seasons, registering one assist. Gourde made his NHL debut on December 15, 2015 at Toronto, recording his first career NHL point (assist) in the game. The 5-foot-9, 172-pound forward has appeared in 53 games with Syracuse this season, posting 20 goals and 43 points to go along with 54 penalty minutes. He ranks first on the Crunch for goals and third for points.

Gourde went undrafted and originally agreed to terms with the Lightning on March 9, 2014.

Erne, 21, has appeared in four games with the Lightning this season, notching seven shots on goal. He made his NHL debut on January 3 against the Winnipeg Jets at AMALIE Arena. The 6-foot-1, 214-pound forward has also skated in 39 games with Syracuse, recording 14 goals and 27 points to go along with 42 penalty minutes. Erne ranks tied for second on the Crunch for goals and is fifth for points.

Erne was originally drafted by the Lightning in the second round, 33rd overall, at the 2013 NHL Draft.
