THE PLACE TO BE:

MTS Centre was rocking for the weekend's matchups against San Antonio. The Moose recorded their highest attendance of the season on Sunday, welcoming 11,514 fans to MTS Centre. Overall, 18,219 tickets were sold for the weekend, making it the highest selling two game set of the season for the Moose.

CONNOR'S BIG WEEKEND:

Kyle Connor enjoyed the most prolific weekend of his young career against San Antonio. The first year pro notched his first career hat-trick on Saturday in Manitoba's 4-2 win over the Rampage. He followed it up with a two point (1G, 1A) afternoon to help the Moose past San Antonio again. Connor is now fourth on the Moose in scoring with 23 points (12G, 11A) in 34 games.

CARRYING THE LOAD:

Eric Comrie started all four games for the Moose this week. In the process, Comrie moved into third among AHL goaltenders in minutes played (2171) and shots against (1136). Going 2-1-0-1 with one shutout, Comrie posted a 1.97 GAA and 0.929 SV% this week, leading the AHL with 123 saves. With the two wins on the weekend, Comrie matched his career high in wins, with 13, in nine fewer appearances than his rookie season.

YOU AGAIN?

After facing off against Rockford twice in their first 51 games, the Moose are in a stretch where they see the IceHogs six times over a span of 14 games. The teams squared off for two games last week and play again Tuesday and Friday this week. Their final pair of games comes in Winnipeg on March 17 and 18.

KICHTON'S 250TH:

Moose defenceman Brenden Kichton played his 250th AHL game Feb. 21 against Rockford. The Spruce Grove, AB product posted 132 points (29G, 103A) in his first 250 AHL contests, all with the Moose/IceCaps. Kichton made his AHL debut back on Oct. 4, 2013, picking up an assist against Providence. This season, the 2014 AHL All-Star is second among Moose defencemen with 15 points, all assists in

HANGING OUT AT HOME

The Moose unpacked their road bags for some time at home including four contests at MTS Centre against the Rockford IceHogs and San Antonio Rampage. The Moose finished the week with a 2-1-0-1 record.

Tuesday, Feb. 21: Rockford 4 at Manitoba 3

Rockford opened up a 2-0 lead in the first period, but Nolan Zajac and Scott Glennie combined to pull the Moose back even early in the second. Kyle Baun and Martin Lundberg put Rockford back in front in the third. Brian Strait cut into the advantage with a shorthanded goal, but the Moose couldn't muster a second comeback.

Wednesday, Feb. 22: Rockford 1 at Manitoba 0 SO

Eric Comrie and Lars Johansson dueled to a scoreless draw through 65 minutes, both earning shutouts for their efforts. Spencer Abbott scored the lone goal of the shootout to lift Rockford to the victory.

Saturday, Feb. 26: San Antonio 2 at Manitoba 4

The Moose found themselves in trouble in the first period of Saturday's matchup, trailing 2-1 on the scoreboard and 23-2 in shots. Manitoba regrouped, outshooting San Antonio 29-16 the rest of the way and scoring three straight to take a 4-2 win. Kyle Connor tallied three times for his first career hat-trick.

Sunday, Feb. 27: San Antonio 2 at Manitoba 4

The Moose kept rolling into Sunday afternoon, with Dan DeSalvo, Chase De Leo and Jack Roslovic scoring to build a 3-0 lead in the second period. Felix Girard scored late in the frame to cut the Moose lead to 3-1, but Kyle Connor restored the three-goal edge moments into the third. Rocco Grimaldi got San Antonio back within two, but Eric Comrie and the Moose shut the door from there.

Jack Roslovic snapped out of a goal scoring drought and was busy in the assist column all week. The rookie broke the 10-goal, 20-assist and 30-point plateaus over the weekend and leads the Moose with 31 points (10G, 21A) for the season.
