
Texas Sends Bachman Back To Idaho

Cedar Park, TX - The Texas Stars announced on Monday that goalie Richard Bachman has been reassigned to the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL.
Bachman played in two games for the Stars, recording a 2.01 GAA and a.929 save percentage. The rookie netminder leaves Texas with a 1-1-0 record. Bachman received his first AHL call up after leading the Idaho Steelheads to an ECHL-best 16-3-0-1 start. At the time of his recall, the young goaltender was leading the ECHL with nine wins, was second with a 2.12 goals against average and was tied for fourth overall with a.916 save percentage. Bachman left Idaho with a 9-2-0-1 mark.
The 22-year old was drafted by the Dallas Stars in the fourth round (#120 overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Bachman played the previous two seasons with Colorado College, posting a 39-20-11 record with a 2.24 goals against average and a.922 save percentage. In two NCAA seasons, he posted seven shutouts.
Texas will host the Syracuse Crunch at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, Dec. 29th. Tuesday night will be HEB Night and Student Night. Fans who bring a non-perishable HEB-brand item to the arena will receive $5.00 off their ticket price. Also, students will receive a discount with the presentation of a college ID. The Stars travel to Manitoba for two road games. The first game is on Wednesday, Dec. 31st at 4:00 PM, and the next is on Saturday, Jan. 2nd at 7:30 PM. Texas returns to Cedar Park on January 6th for a game against the Houston Aeros at 7:30 PM.
