--- BRETT STERLING: Saw his team season-high six-game point streak snapped on Sunday; he tallied eight points (5G, 3A) during that span from Dec. 11 to Dec. 26 ... --- SPENCER MACHACEK: Matched a team season-high two goals on Sunday after being held without a goal in his previous 15 contests ... Shares second on the Wolves with 12 assists and ranks fourth with 19 points in 32 games this season; his seven goals rank fourth on the club ... Tied for first among team forwards with a +4 plus/minus rating
WOLF TRACKS
--- Wolves captain JASON KROG has been held scoreless in his last two outings, the first time he has failed to register a point in back-to-back games in 21 outings; the 34-year-old forward paces the Wolves and ranks third in the AHL with 25 assists and leads the team and shares ninth in the league with 31 points in 30 games this year.
--- Chicago's loss on Sunday was just the third time the club has suffered a defeat at home when scoring four or more goals dating back to the start of last season; The Wolves have notched a 16-3-0-0 mark since the beginning of last year when potting four or more markers at home, including a 3-2-0-0 record this season.
--- The Wolves thwarted all five of Rockford's power-play attempts on Sunday, the first time in five games they have been perfect on the penalty kill; Chicago ranks fifth in the league with an 87.9 efficiency rating on the penalty kill (124 of 141).
--- The Wolves have potted 14 power-play goals in their last 12 games (14 of 56) after scoring only 10 man-advantage markers in their previous 20 matchups (10 of 79); Chicago ranks 11th in the AHL with a 17.8 efficiency rating on the power-play (24 of 135).
--- SPENCER MACHACEK's short-handed strike on Sunday was the Wolves eighth shortie this season, second most in the AHL.
