December 28, 2009 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Rochester Americans News Release

(Rochester, NY)... For some lucky kids, everyday will now be Christmas thanks to the founding of the Tickets for Kids Season Ticket by the Rochester Americans. For just $150, fans or local businesses can purchase a Tickets for Kids Season Ticket ($300 for two season tickets) in their name and dedicate the ticket(s) to a charity of their choice through the Rochester Knighthawks/Amerks Charitable Foundation, Inc.

"The Amerks are looking for support from the Rochester business community and also for the generosity of our fans to support our Tickets for Kids program," said Amerks President Lewis *Staats.* "This program will go a long way to putting a smile on a few more kids faces in Rochester and let them enjoy some exciting AHL hockey as they cheer on the *Americans."*

The initiative, designed to allow those that don't have the means to attend a professional sporting event, has been developed so that the Amerks and the corporate community can "team up" to create the opportunity for underprivileged youth to attend each and every Amerks home game at The Blue Cross Arena.

The next chance to send a kid to an Amerks game is Friday, January 8thagainst the Grand Rapids Griffins at 7:05 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena. Call (585) 454-5335 for more information.

The Rochester Americans have established their own Foundation to advance the objectives of many area organizations and agencies dedicated to helping the lives of those less fortunate. We do this "over and above" the ticket and merchandise requests we approve each and every week.
