Boise, ID- Mike Sullivan recorded his second straight two-goal game and Greg Rallo also scored twice in the Steelheads' convincing 6-1 win over the Utah Grizzlies in front of 3,195 fans at Qwest Arena on Wednesday night.

The victory allows the Steelheads (4-2-5) to remain unbeaten in their seven home games this season, as they've won back-to-back games for the first time in 2007-2008. The Grizzlies (4-8-0) have now lost three in a row, as the Steelheads improved to 10-0-1 against their closest rival on home ice since the Grizzlies joined the ECHL three seasons ago.

The home club got the only goal in a first period that featured just nine combined shots. At 8:20, Rallo won a neutral zone draw and found Taggart Desmet at the blue line on the right wing side. Desmet fired a shot from about 50 feet out and the rebound off the pads of Grizzlies' starting goaltender Brett Jaeger (3 saves) came to the stick or Rallo who flipped the puck into the top shelf for his fourth of the season.

In the second period, the Steelheads struck for two tallies in just 48 seconds to open up a 3-0 lead. First, Sullivan grabbed a rebound off Jeremy Scherlinck's point shot and knocked a backhander past Jaeger, with Aaron Gagnon getting the second helper. Then at 4:44, Lance Galbraith tipped home Kory Scoran's shot from the blue line for his fourth marker of the season, all of which have come on home ice. Travis Wight picked up the second assist. That goal signaled the end of Jaeger's night, as Mike Mole (21 saves) came in to replace him.

Midway through the second frame Sullivan notched his second of the night, as Richard Clune and Brent Shepheard registered the assists on Sullivan's fifth of the season.

Through two periods the Steelheads were out-shooting the Grizzlies 21-15 and leading 4-0 thanks to four, even-strength tallies.

Just 2:57 into the third, Shepheard collected his first professional marker off passes from Sullivan and Clune to make the score 5-0.

Micheal Haley then countered for the visitors at 9:06 of the third period, potting his fifth of the season. Rob Sirianni and Andy Sertich added the assists, as the Grizzlies broke Steve Silverthorn's (23 saves) bid for a shutout.

Forty-two seconds after the Grizzlies got on the board, Rallo picked up his second of the night, a power play goal from Darrell Hay and Marty Flichel to round out the scoring.

For the contest, the Steelheads out-shot the Grizzlies 30-24, while they finished one-for-seven on the power play and five-for-five on the penalty kill.

The Steelheads continue their series with Utah Grizzlies on Friday, November 16. The puck drops at 7:10 p.m. MST. All the action can be heard live on 1350 AM, KTIK "The Ticket" or via the B2 Networks. Don't forget, Steelheads' single-game tickets can be purchased via www.idahosteelheads.com (using the print-at-home feature), by calling 331-TIXS or from the Qwest Arena box office.
