Defenseman Patrik Hersley Assigned To Reading

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, today announced that Manchester has assigned defenseman Patrik Hersley ["HERZ lee"] to the Royals. The Monarchs also recalled defenseman Drew Bagnall.

Hersley (6'3"/205 lbs) (21), a fifth round pick of the Kings in 2005, played in eleven games with the Monarchs this season prior to this assignment and picked up two penalty minutes. Hersley, who hails from Malmo, Sweden, played in his home city in the Swedish Elite League last year, scoring a goal, picking up an assist and registering ten penalty minutes in twenty-eight games. Bagnall played in ten games with the Royals, scoring his first goal as a pro and picking up two assists and thirty-two penalty minutes.

The Royals return to action on Friday night (7:05 pm) when the Trenton Devils make their first appearance at the Sovereign Center in Reading. The first 1500 fans in attendance that night will receive a camouflage hat courtesy of Medalist Performance Apparel and Mossy Oak. The game night broadcast will begin at 6:35 pm with the pre-game warm-up show on ESPN Radio 1240 am in Ephrata, PA, as well as on the internet through the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com. Streaming video is available on a pay per view basis through the B2 Networks.
