Thunder Takes To Road Against Victoria

Keeping a close pace behind first place in the Pacific Division, the Thunder heads north for a three-game road trip against the Victoria Salmon Kings. It is the only trip into Canada for the Thunder in regular season play, carrying a 4-2-2 record last year against the Salmon Kings and a 2-4-2 lifetime record at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. The stretch wraps up a busy schedule for the Thunder, who are in the midst of playing four games in six nights. The Thunder is 6-2-0 in its last eight games and trails division leader Las Vegas by two points.

1420 KSTN is the Thunder's flagship radio station and all Thunder games can be heard live on the Internet (free-of-charge) and are available for viewing at a $6 "pay-per-view" charge at www.stocktonthunder.com, courtesy of B2 Networks. Radio broadcaster Mike Benton provides play-by-play commentary, with the "Thunder Forecast" pre-game show starting 15 minutes before each broadcast.

In addition, Valley Brew Family Restaurant is in its second season as official host of the Thunder Watch Party (via B2 Networks' "Bar and Pub Network") for all road games, with prizes, broadcast-interactive contests and more scheduled for all road games this week.

Tuesday, November 6

Stockton 4 - Phoenix 3

Rookie David Rohlfs scored a career-high two goals and goaltender Glenn Fisher stopped a career-high 44 shots as the Thunder won their fifth consecutive game in a 4-3 victory over the Phoenix RoadRunners at U.S. Airways Center on Tuesday. The Thunder scored two shorthanded goals, a new single-game record and raced out to a 3-0 lead on goals by Rohlfs, Andy Contois and Jonas Almtorp. Justin Maiser, Brian Yandle and Mitch Carefoot scored for Phoenix.

Wednesday, November 7

Phoenix 6 - Stockton 5

Jeff Kryzakos had his first career hat trick while adding an assist, sparking a five-goal third period rally for the Phoenix RoadRunners and sending the Thunder to a shocking 6-5 loss at U.S. Airways Center. Phoenix scored a club record five goals on the third period with four coming on the power-play. Heading the Thunder offense was rookie Geoff Paukovich, who scored a career-high two goals and defenseman Brad Farynuk, who added three assists.

Thursday, November 8

Stockton 6 - Phoenix 4

The Thunder won its sixth game out of seven and staved off a third period comeback by the Phoenix RoadRunners on Jacob Micflikier's game winning goal with 6:50 left in regulation, taking a 6-4 win over Phoenix at U.S. Airways Center on Thursday night. Rookie defenseman Sebastien Bisaillon scored a career-high two goals and Andy Contois added a breakaway goal in the second period. Micflikier scored just 37 seconds after Phoenix mounted a two-goal rally in the third and added an insurance goal late in the game.

Monday, November 12

Fresno 4 - Stockton 1

Igor Gongalsky scored a goal and added an assist to lift the Fresno Falcons to a 4-1 win over the Thunder on Monday, a day after both teams had their Sunday contest postponed due to faulty ice conditions. Thunder goaltender Glenn Fisher kept the Thunder in the game with 26 saves, including a breakaway save in the second period on Jarret Konkle. Andy Contois scored the only Thunder goal in the second period. The loss snapped a nine-game regular season winning streak at home for the Thunder, dating back to March 14, 2007.
