Toledo Walleye News Release
- The Rivalry is Reborn! Sunday's game against the Peoria Rivermen set team season highs for most penalty minutes in a game by Toledo (117), an opponent (94) and combined (211). Ironically, Toledo and Peoria played on February 1st in a game that featured just 10 penalty minutes combined, which is the lowest of the season. Toledo in that game had just 6 PIMS and Peoria had 4. Both are lows for the season.
- Bryce Charpentier saw his first action with the Toledo Storm this weekend. In 3 games with Toledo, Bryce has 39 penalty minutes including a Storm individual high of 34 Sunday. Kris Waltze added 30 penalty minutes this weekend. Waltze has 123 penalty minutes on the season, and 88 of those have come since his return from an eye injury on January 23rd (a span of 9 games).
- Goaltender Doug Teskey returned to the Toledo Storm Friday night in Cincinnati making 22 saves in a Storm 3-1 win and was just 38 seconds away from his second shutout of the season.
- Alexandre Jacques added 3 points (1-2) on Friday and 2 more (1-1) on Sunday. Alex currently has 14 multi-point games this season. That is most for the Storm.
- Nick Parillo netted 2 goals in Friday night's game at Cincinnati. It is the fifth time this season Nick has scored 2 in a game. Parillo has yet to score a hat trick.
- On Friday and Sunday, the Storm scored the first goal of the contest. Toledo is 11-4-3 when netting the first goal.
- Toledo has 30 or more shots over the last 11 contests. The Storm has out-shot the opponent in 8 of those contests.
- The Storm has a record of 16-5-1 when scoring 3 or more goals in a game this season.
- Toledo has 27 power play goals in 217 attempts (12.4%). Toledo is ranked 28th in the ECHL on the power play.
- The Storm penalty kill unit went 12 for 14 over the weekend. Toledo's penalty kill unit is ranked 10th in the ECHL, killing off 188 of 221 chances against.

- On Saturday, the Dayton Bombers will invade the Sports Arena. Toledo has lost 4 of 7 to the Bombers this season. The Storm is 2-1 against Dayton in the Toledo Sports Arena this season.
- The Toledo Storm coaches show will be back in action this Tuesday night at 8pm in the Downtown Frickers.
STORM PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINATION:
Alexandre Jacques (3 goals - 3 assists = 6 points - +5) Alex collected points in all three games this weekend. Paired up with Morten Ask and Nick Parillo, Jacques finished the week as a plus 5 to go along with his 6 points. Alex netted a shorthanded goal Sunday against Peoria.
STORM GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK NOMINATION:
Doug Teskey (1-0-1, 1.44 gaa, 0.956 save%) Doug was great when he had to be this weekend, leading Toledo to 3 of 4 points in his 2 starts. Teskey came close to shutout Friday night and then made 40 saves in a shootout loss to Peoria Sunday.
