BOISE, Idaho - Despite adding four points to its record and snapping the Gulls nine game winning streak, the Idaho Steelheads have fallen to third place in the Pacific Division, winning two of three games at home against the first place San Diego Gulls (. The Las Vegas Wranglers have moved past the Steelheads and sit in second place, ahead by two points. Idaho now prepares for its first trip back East since joining the ECHL to take on the Northern Division's Peoria Rivermen, Dayton Bombers, Cincinnati Cylcones, and Toledo Storm.

RECORD

Idaho is 28-14-5, 61 points (home record 17-5-2, and road record 11-9-3). Idaho is 4-3-3 in its last 10 games; and its current streak is 1-0-0.

PRACTICES THIS WEEK:

The Steelheads will practice Tuesday, February 10th from 10:00-11:00 a.m. under the direction of the AHL Utah Grizzlies' head coach Don Hay. Practice Wednesday, February 11th will run from 9:00-10:00 a.m. The team will travel East Wednesday afternoon. GAME RECAPS:

2/4/04: SAN DIEGO 3 @ IDAHO 4

BOISE, Idaho (Ticker) -- David Bararuk scored with one second left in regulation to lift the Idaho Steelheads past the San Diego Gulls, 4-3. Bararuk, who also scored in the first period, snapped San Diego's nine-game winning streak when he recorded his fourth goal of the season in dramatic fashion. Miguel Delisle tallied on the power play late in the second period for Idaho, which has won back-to-back games for the first time since early January. Kaleb Christenson, making his first appearance of the season, stopped 15 shots between the second and third periods to pick up the win. David Neale scored with 1:47 remaining in the middle period for the Gulls, who lost for just the fourth time since December 7. Trevor Koenig allowed four goals on 26 shots to take the loss.

02/06/04: IDAHO 2 @ SAN DIEGO 8

BOISE, Idaho(Ticker) -- Billy Tibbetts scored two goals and collected two assists and Mark Pederson produced two points in the San Diego Gulls' 8-2 victory over the Idaho Steelheads. Tibbetts scored 86 seconds after the opening faceoff, assisted on a pair of goals in the second period, and netted his second goal 7:50 into the final stanza. Mark Pederson, who assisted on a goal in the first period by Dan Cousineau, netted his league-leading 31st goal with five minutes left in regulation to extend his point streak to an ECHL season-high 20 games. Chris Gobert scored a pair of goals, including the eventual game-winner in the second period, and Clayton Read posted three assists for San Diego. Trevor Koenig made 11 of his 31 saves in the third period to earn the win for the Gulls, who have won 10 of their last 11 games. Andrei Vasilyev recorded a goal and an assist, and Kaleb Christenson stopped 22 shots in the losing effort for Idaho, which fell to 1-6-0 vs. San Diego.

02/07/04: IDAHO 3 @ SAN DIEGO 2 (OT)

BOISE, Idaho (Ticker) -- Darrell Hay scored in overtime and assisted on a pair of goals to help the Idaho Steelheads edge the San Diego Gulls, 3-2. Hay scored his first game-winner and fifth goal of the year 75 seconds into the extra stanza. Adrei Vasilyev tied the game at 1-1 for Idaho with a power-play goal at the 8:00 mark of the opening period. Vasilyev now has nine goals on the year, five of them against San Diego. David Cornacchia, who assisted on a pair of goals, knotted the score at two goals apiece in the middle period for Idaho, which improved to 1-6-1 against the Gulls. Scott Kabotoff entered the game early in the second period and stopped all 10 shots he faced to pick up the win. Chris Gobert and Samy Nasreddine both scored for San Diego, which fell to 11-8-3 on the road. Trevor Koenig had 27 saves in defeat.
