- The Toledo Storm finished the week at 2-0-0, which leaves them with an overall record of 7-7-1. Toledo is eighth in the Northern Division.

- Toledo defeated Dayton on Friday night 4-2 to end a 2-game home losing streak. The Storm defeated the Wheeling Nailers 9-3 on Saturday Night.

- Toledo's 9 goals Saturday marked a season high for the Storm, and also tied Toledo for the most goals scored in an ECHL game this season. (Mississippi, Wheeling) - Toledo's 5 Power-Play goals Saturday night v. Wheeling is a season high. Toledo had netted only 5 PP goals in the first 14 games.

- Alexander Jacques picked up his first hat trick of the season on Friday night. It is also the first hat trick of the season for the Storm. Nathan Jacques, Alexander's newborn baby boy, also witnessed Jacques's hat trick.

- On the strength of his 6-point night Saturday, Paul Ballantyne has taken over the team scoring lead with 12 points (4-8-12). His 6 points in 1 contest is the most scored by any player in the ECHL this season.

- Mike Nelson has made a big splash with the Storm since coming over from Peoria. In 4 games with Toledo, Mike has 3 goals and 1 assist (4 points). In 7 games with Peoria, Nelson tallied only 2 goals.

- Toledo scored 13 goals in the 2 games over the weekend. The Storm had scored 14 goals in the 9 games prior to this weekend.

- Toledo's power play is 10 for 80 (12.50%) on the season, and is ranked 28th in the ECHL.

- Toledo's Penalty kill is now 21st in the ECHL, killing off 63 of the 78 times shorthanded (80.8%).

- Toledo is 3-4-1 on the road this year.

- Toledo is 4-3-0 at home this season.

- Toledo is home this weekend for 2 games. Friday night, the Dayton Bombers invade the Sports Arena. On Saturday, the Storm hosts the Peoria Rivermen.

- The Coaches Show is this Wednesday night at 8pm live at the Downtown Frickers, and can be heard on the Talk Station WCWA 1230.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINATION: Paul Ballantyne (2 goals - 5 assists = 7 points)

Paul had a great night Saturday when he tallied 6 points. He scored 2 of the first 5 storm goals Saturday night, and assisted on 4 others throughout the night. His 6 points in Saturday's game v. Wheeling is the most scored by any player during one game in the ECHL. He also added another assist on Friday night.

GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK NOMINATION: Drew MacIntyre (2-0-0, 2.50 gaa, 0.893 save%)

Drew became the first Storm goaltender to start back-to-back games this weekend. He stopped 42 of the 47 shots he faced this past weekend, and was steady in backstopping the Storm to 2 wins.
