Make it a Dozen: Mike Vigilante extended his point-scoring streak to 12 games with an assist on Anthony Aquino's goal in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to Greenville. At 12 games, Vigilante's streak is currently the longest active streak and it places him in a tie with Fresno's Greg Bullock for the longest consecutive point scoring streak (12 games) this season. During the streak Vigilante has tallied 15 points off of 3 goals and 12 assists.

Also on a Roll: Anthony Aquino has been old reliable when it comes to goals at home. He has picked up a goal in every home game at the Arena at Gwinnett Center that he has appeared in this year. He pushed his streak to 4 straight games with a goal against South Carolina on Thursday and picked up the first goal of the game in Saturday's match up with Greenville. Although the Gladiators have played 8 homes games this season, Aquino's streak is at 5 games because he missed 3 home games due to injury.

Moving on Up: Gladiators goaltender Adam Munro was called up to the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League on Wednesday. Due to a goaltending injury on the Admirals NHL affiliate the Chicago Blackhawks roster, Munro was called up to help out a shortened Norfolk bench. In six games with the Gladiators this season, Munro posted a 2.76 goals against average and a .894 save percentage. Munro made 21 saves in a 3-2 overtime win for the Admirals against Portland on Saturday night.

Home Sweet Home: Despite falling to South Carolina in overtime on Thursday and to Greenville on Saturday in a shootout the Gladiators are still unbeaten at home with a 5-0-3 record. The Gladiators join the Mississippi Sea Wolves, Fresno Falcons, Florida Everblades and Las Vegas Wranglers as one of 5 teams that are still unbeaten at home this season.

Old Reliable: Gladiators forwards Brandon Dietrich and Mike Vigilante are tied for the team lead in scoring with 16 points apiece. Dietrich has tallied 2 goals and 14 assists while Vigilante has picked up 3 goals and 13 assists on the season.

Unbeaten: The Gladiators are currently on a 6 game unbeaten streak dating back to November 13th following a 1-0-2 record last week. The Gladiators are 4-0-2 during the unbeaten streak with their last regulation loss coming in Greensboro against the General on November 8th, 3-1.

November 19th, Gladiators 3, Charlotte 2, W

Despite arriving one hour and 20 minutes late due to travel traffic, the Gladiators dominated from start to finish and beat the Charlotte Checkers 3-2 at the Cricket arena on Wednesday night. Steve Slonina's first goal of the season gave the Gladiators a 1-0 lead at 16:54 of the first period. Early in the second period, Charlotte tied the contest up at 1-1 on a goal by Allen Egland at 2:04 of the period. The Gladiators regained the lead just 56 seconds later on slap shot by Troy Milam from the point. Kris Goodjohn pushed the Gladiators lead to 3-1 at the 6:54 mark of the second period. Charlotte tried to make up the two-goal difference late in the third period as they pulled goaltender St. Germain with less than a minute left to play. Dusty Jamieson was able to pick up one goal for the Checkers at 19:24 of the third with the extra attacker but could get no closer. Gwinnett outshot Charlotte 33-30 while going 0-for-7 on the man advantage.

November 20th, South Carolina 5, Gladiators 4, OTL

The South Carolina Stingrays jumped out to a 1-0 lead 25 seconds into the first period as Jim Lorentz caught a bounce for the games first goal. Jim Jackson tied the contest up as he jammed a puck past South Carolina goaltender David Brumby at 4:29 of the first period. Chris Allen regained the lead for the Stingrays as he beat Garnett on a one timer at 8:41 of the first period. Cam Brown tied the game up at 2-2 when he rolled a wrap around try up the body of David Brumby and into the net at the 15:05 mark of the first period. The Gladiators took the lead 18 seconds into the second period as Anthony Aquino whacked a loose puck into an empty net. Chris Durno extended the Gladiators lead to two goals as he was able to punch a centering pass back behind Brumby at 3:26 of the second period. South Carolina cut the lead back to one goal as Curtis Huppe was able to jam a puck past Garnett at 7:56 of the second. Mike Jickling's bouncing puck that slipped over the shoulder of Garnett tied the game up at four goals apiece with 1:07 remaining in the second period. Matt Desrosier scored the game winner 29 seconds into overtime as he ripped a slapshot past Garnett on the power play.

November 22nd, Greenville 4, Gladiators 3, SOL

Mike Vigilante extended his point-scoring streak to 12 games 1:51 into the first period as he set up Anthony Aquino to give the Gladiators a 1-0 lead. Greenville tied the game up at 1-1 on a Mike Henderson power play goal at the 4-minute mark of the period. Greenville took the lead at 9:16 of the first on a shorthanded goal by Ryan Stewart.

Rick Emmett tied the contest up just 36 seconds into the second period as he took a pass from Kevin Doell and slipped through the slot and beat Robinson over the shoulder.

Peter Flache beat Gladiators goaltender Michael Garnett on a two-on-one late in the third period to regain the lead for the Grrrowl. Gwinnett tied the game back up before the end of the period, this time at 3-3 as Blue Bennefield whacked a loose puck into the net with 9 seconds let in the period. Henderson's first round goal in the shootout was the difference, as the Gladiators could not pick up a single goal in the shootout.

Thursday, November 27, 2003, vs. Charlotte, 7:05 p.m. Happy Thanksgiving

Gwinnett leads the season series following last Wednesday's 3-2 win in Charlotte, 2-0-1. Charlotte earned its only point in a 4-3 shootout win at the Arena at Gwinnett Center on October 25th. The Gladiators have out shot the Checkers 123-83 in three games this season.

Friday, November 28, 2003, @ Greenville, 7:05 p.m.

Greenville leads the season series 1-0-0 following Saturday's 4-3 shootout win. Greenville has picked up two wins on the season, both against non-divisional opponents, Augusta and the Gladiators.

Saturday, November 29, 2003, vs. Columbia, 7:35 p.m.

The Gladiators meet the Columbia Inferno for the first time this season. Columbia sits in a tie for second place it the ECHL Southern Division with 22 points. Columbia fell to the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies 4 games to 1 in last season's Kelly Cup Finals.

The Gladiators are back in action on Thursday, November 27th, Thanksgiving night, when the Charlotte Checkers make their second visit to the Arena at Gwinnett Center for a 7:05 p.m. tilt.
