Titans Split Weekend Series with Bullies

TRENTON, NJ - The Titans looked to extend their four-game unbeaten streak as they headed into a home and home weekend series with the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies.

Friday night at Sovereign Bank Arena, defenseman P.J. Martin notched a power play goal and an assist to lead the Titans to a 2-1 win. Chris Houle extended his winning streak to four games making 35 of 36 saves. The Titans, however, would be unable to sweep the series as the Bullies rebounded strong on Saturday with a 4-2 victory.

Trenton finds itself in fourth place in the Northern Division and just two points ahead of Wheeling as they head into a three-game set against the Nailers. The Titans begin the weekend series on Friday, November 28 at Sovereign Bank Arena at 7:30pm. The team will then travel down to Wheeling for games on Saturday, November 29 at 7:30pm and Sunday, November 30 at 6:00pm.

LAST WEEK:

Friday, November 21 vs. Atlantic City - 7:30pm 2-1 Sovereign Bank Arena

- P.J. Martin notched his first two-point game as he scored his professional goal and assisted on Matt Zultek's game winner. Chris Houle upped his winning streak to four stopping 35 of 36 saves. Josh Prudden scored the lone goal for the Bullies.

Saturday, November 22 @ Atlantic City - 7:05pm 4-2 Boardwalk Hall

- Bullies forward John Cullen put in two goals and added an assist to help the Bullies take the final game of the home and home series. Matt Zultek extended his goal scoring streak to three games and Bertoli extended his point scoring streak to six games. Rookie goaltender Chris Houle had his winning streak snapped as he recorded his first loss of the season.

THIS WEEK:

Friday, November 28 vs. Wheeling - 7:30pm Sovereign Bank Arena

- The first of six meetings between the two teams this season. The Titans are just two points ahead of the Nailers in the Northern Division standings.

Saturday, November 29 @ Wheeling - 7:30 pm Wheeling Civic Center

- The Titans are 13-6 lifetime versus the Nailers. The two teams have never met in the postseason.

Saturday, November 30 @ Wheeling - 6:00 pm Wheeling Civic Center

- The final game of the weekend series. Wheeling is 5-1-1 at home with a +13 goal differential

ECHL Player of the Week Nominee:

P.J. Martin - The Titans rookie defensemen tallied a power play goal in two assists over two games versus the Bullies. His goal on Friday night was the first of his professional career.

ECHL Goalie of the Week Nominee:

Chris Houle - Houle extended his winning to streak to four games on Friday, but had it snapped in Atlantic City on Saturday night. Houle was 1-1 with a 2.50 GAA and .919 save percentage.

Fans are encouraged to bring their new or used teddy bears to toss onto the ice during the second intermission. These teddy bears will be collected and distributed throughout the holiday season to children patients at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital by Titans players, mascots and staff
