THE WEEK AHEAD
Wednesday, November 26th vs. Florence Pride 7:30pm Carolina Coliseum
Columbia is 2-0-0 against the Pride this season and 12-4-3 overall. This is the third meeting out of eight games for the 2003-2004 season. Florence is in sixth place in the Southern Division with 12 points (5-7-2).
Friday, November 28th vs. Augusta Lynx 7:30pm Carolina Coliseum
This is the first game between the Lynx and the Inferno. Columbia is 8-6-3 overall against Augusta. The last time these two teams met was March 15th in Augusta and the Inferno won 3-2. Augusta is tied for fifth place with 15 points (7-6-1) in the Central Division of the Western Conference.
Saturday, November 29th @ Gwinnett Gladiators 7:35pm The Arena @ Gwinnett Center
Gwinnett is leading the Central Division of the Western Conference with a record of 11-2-3 (25 points). This is the first out of five meetings between the Inferno and the Gladiators.
LAST WEEK Saturday, November 22nd COLUMBIA 4 Columbus 3 (OT)
Robin Carruthers netted the game-winning goal early in overtime to give the Columbia Inferno a 4-3 victory over the Columbus Cottonmouths. After Derek Eastman capped a three-goal comeback for Columbia on a score with 29 seconds left in the third period, Carruthers, who assisted on the first three tallies of the comeback, scored his fifth goal of the year 1:41 into overtime. Barrie Moore and Brandon Nolan both added a marker for the Inferno, who won their third in a row and improved to 5-1-2 in one-goal games. Rob McVicar stopped all 32 shots he faced to earn the win in relief of Josh Blackburn.
Sunday, November 23rd COLUMBIA 3 Greenville 2 (OT)
Tim Smith scored an unassisted goal early in overtime to lift the Columbia Inferno over the Greenville Grrrowl, 3-2. Smith, who opened the scoring late in the first period with his fifth goal of the season, netted his first overtime goal 42 seconds into the extra session. Alexandre Burrows notched two assists and Chris Pittman tallied with 6:12 remaining in regulation to give Columbia a 2-1 advantage. Rob McVicar stopped 24 shots to pick up the win for the Inferno, who extended their unbeaten streak to six games (5-0-1).

Friday, December 5th: 89.7 WMHK's Bears for Caring â Bring a teddy bear and after the first goal the Inferno score you can throw the bear on the ice as a donation to 89.7 WMHK's Bears for Caring program. These bears will be distributed throughout the Midlands.
