Stockton Takes Overtime Contest 6-5; Series Completes Sunday At 4

West Valley City, Utah - The Stockton Thunder (28-24-2-6) scored a power-play goal 45 seconds into overtime to defeat the Utah Grizzlies (27-25-3-5) 6-5 before 4,910 at the E-Center Saturday night.

Utah battled back from 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 deficits early and took their first lead of the night 16:07 into the second period on James Sixsmith's 20th goal of the year to extend his scoring streak to 13 and make it 4-3.

Utah took that 4-3 lead into the third period and eventually went up 5-4 but the Thunder broke both Utah leads on power-play goals and the game was 5-5 going to overtime.

Ryan Kinasewich led the way for Utah with two goals, including a go-ahead goal 4:02 into the third to make it 5-4. Lance Galbraith and AJ Perry joined the goal scoring for Utah as well.

Peter Aston and Dylan Hunter both had two assists for Utah.

Utah and Stockton meet again Sunday at 4:05 p.m. at the E-Center to complete their three-game-in-three-night series.
