ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL Los Angeles Kings, were shutout by the Alaska Aces, 2-0, Friday evening before a season high of 6,145 fans at Sullivan Arena.

The first two periods yielded no goals for either club and Ontario did not cause any penalties until the third period. The Reign had some great chances throughout the game including three shots that hit the post.

Alaska broke the scoreless game at 13:22 in the third period when forward Eric Boguniecki slide the puck past Ontario netminder Curtis Darling. Forward Nick Mazzolini and defenseman Bryan Miller assisted on the game winning goal.

Ontario decided to pull Curtis Darling for an extra attacker and the Aces capitalized on the empty net. Ontario kept the net vacant and continued to try to score but came up empty handed. The Aces took the game and broke Ontario's 10 game point streak with a final score of Aces 2, Reign 0.
