Maxime Lacroix Returns To Cyclones

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators, announced this afternoon they have received forward Maxime Lacroix from the Hamilton Bulldogs (AHL). In another move, the club has also activated defenseman Doug Krantz from the injured list.

Lacroix, 22, is in his second professional season and first with the Cyclones. In 33 games with Cincinnati, he has 14 goals and eight assists for 22 points.

Lacroix is one of sixteen Cyclones player to earn a promotion to the American Hockey League. Twenty-five times a Cincinnati player has earned an AHL opportunity in 2009-2010.

Krantz, 26, is in his second professional season and first with the Cyclones. He has played in ten games and had a pair of goals and an assist for three points before being sidelined by injury. He has missed the last 37 games while on the injured list.

In other Cyclones news, forward Matt Pierce has been transferred to the seven-day injured list, while forward Mathieu Aubin has been placed on the three-day injured list.

The Cyclones are currently leading the North Division of the American Conference with a 38-19-3 record. The Cyclones are at Elmira tonight for a 7:30pm tilt. The game will be carried on the club's website at www.cycloneshockey.com. The Cyclones return to U.S. Bank Arena on Thursday, March 18 with a 7:30pm clash against Johnstown.
