The Week Ahead:
Tuesday, March 29, 2005 Vs Greenville Grrrowl â7:05 PM BI-LO Center
Radio: ESPN Radio 910AM The Team 6:35 Air Time
South Carolina will continue its quest for home ice in the playoffs as they face fourth place Greenville. The Grrrowl currently hold the edge in the season series, with a 6-2-1 mark against the Stingrays after two wins in the series last week. Greenville has won four straight games against the Stingrays.
Friday, April 1, 2005 Vs Florida Everblades â7:05 PM North Charleston Coliseum
Radio: ESPN Radio 910AM The Team 6:35 Air Time
The Florida Everblades come to North Charleston for their last appearance of the regular season. The Rays have enjoyed a record of 3-1 against the Everblades this season. The Stingrays' 3rd-ranked power play will look to feast on the Everblades' 25th-ranked penalty kill. At the Coliseum: Championship Night presented by HESS. One lucky fan will win a Stingrays championship ring or pendant.
Saturday, April 2, 2005 Vs Augusta Lynx â7:05 PM North Charleston Coliseum

The Augusta Lynx travel to North Charleston for just the Second time this season. The last meeting between the teams saw the Stingrays win 4-2. Augusta has been eliminated from playoff contention.
At the Coliseum: Fan Appreciation Night featuring free parking and plenty of give aways.
The Week That Was:
Tuesday, March 25th â Greenville 2, South Carolina 0
The Greenville Grrrowl scored two second period goals on the way to a 2-0 shut out win over the South Carolina Stingrays in front of 4,237 at the North Charleston Coliseum. Maris Ziedins had two goals and Mike Brodeur had 42 saves as Greenville broke the Stingrays eight game home winning streak. With the loss the Rays fell to 35-21-8, while the Grrrowl improved to 34-24-5.
Friday, March 25th, 2005 â Grrrowl 6, Stingrays 3
The Greenville Grrrowl scored three third period goals to pull away from the Stingrays and grab a 6-3 win at the Bilo Center. The win was the fourth straight for the Grrrowl over the South Carolina as the Stingrays fell to 35-22-8 as the Grrrowl improved to 35-24-5 with the win.
Saturday, March 26, 2005 â Stingrays 5, Checkers 2
The South Carolina Stingrays scored three first period goals including two by Captain Trevor Johnson, and Kevin Spiewak added two of his own on the way to a 5-2 victory over the first place Charlotte Checkers in front of 7,136 at the North Charleston Coliseum. The win improved the Rays to 36-22-8 and dropped the Checkers to 37-24-6 with the loss. The Rays remain in second place despite the win, but now trail the Columbia Inferno by one in the race for first place in the East.
Transactions: On Tuesday, South Carolina sent Forward Marty Clapton to the Long Beach Ice Dogs for future considerations. Saturday, Rich Peverley was called up to the Portland Pirates and Mike Jickling was activated from the Injured Reserve.
The Team:
South Carolina earned 2 points this week to improve its record to 36-22-8. Saturday's win ended the Stingrays' 2 game losing skid. South Carolina sits in second place in the East Division with 80 points. The Rays are tied for the 4th seed in the conference. At home, the Stingrays have a record of 25-7-2, but they are 11-15-6 away from the North Charleston Coliseum. The Rays' special teams continue to look strong including the penalty kill, which ranks 6th in the league at 86.3% with 12 short handed goals. The Rays power play is in the top three in the league now, ranked 3rd at 19.1%.
The Players:
· Joe Tenute continued his assault on the rookie scoring title this week, adding two points to bring his total to 69 on 31 goals and 38 assists.
· Rich Peverley ranks 5th among ECHL rookies in goals, and is currently called up to Portland as the Pirates make a final run for the playoffs.
· Mark Ardelan Continues to lead all ECHL defensemen in goals with 15.
· Robin Gomez currently has 20 major penalties on the season, ranking third in the league.
