Stingrays Weekly: Stingrays Prepare for Three-Game South Division Road Trip

The South Carolina Stingrays hosted the Gwinnett Gladiators this week at the North Charleston Coliseum for a record of 2-0-0-0. The Stingrays celebrated their sixth annual Pink in the Rink presented by East Cooper Medical Center Friday night. Forward Maxime Lacroix recorded a hat trick and forward Trent Campbell added a goal and two assists in a 5-2 Stingrays victory. The postgame jersey auction generated over $24,000 to help fight breast cancer. The Stingrays carried the momentum into Sunday's contest, taking a 4-1 win. Campbell and forward Matt Scherer each had a goal and an assist.

Forward Trent Campbell is tied for first in the ECHL with four shorthanded assists.

Goaltender Philipp Grubauer ranks third in the ECHL with a 2.33 goals-against average and 21 wins and stands fourth with 2,193 minutes played.

Defenseman Johann Kroll is 16th among ECHL defensemen with 26 points (6g, 20a) and tied for second among defensemen with two shorthanded points (1g, 1a).

Defenseman Derek Keller is tied for second among league defensemen with two shorthanded assists.

Defenseman Zach Tarkir is first among ECHL defensemen with five game-winning goals.
