CLAREMONT, Calif.- The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, traveled to Claremont earlier this month to spend the afternoon with the students of Danbury School; all of which are living with physical disabilities or other health impairments.

The players were greeted with balloons, streamers and a crowd of cheering children when they arrived at the school. The students at Danbury are hockey fans and through this annual visit, have become huge Reign fans. This was the third visit to the school by the team and the traditional hockey game between the players and the students was not to be forgotten.

After a warm welcome from the Danbury Dragons' cheer team, introductions by the Reign players, and a hockey equipment 101 presentation by Head Coach Jason Christie, defenseman Steven Tarasuk and one of the Danbury students, the hockey game was underway! The Dragons stormed the Reign net, with a little guidance from the players, throughout the entire game and came out victorious with a blowout win (Dragons 12 - Reign 4).

Following the game, the players spent time signing autographs and taking pictures with some of their biggest supporters. They also split up and visited various classrooms to answer questions, make Valentines, and learn more about the amazing children of Danbury.

The Claremont Club, the workout facility for the Ontario Reign players, provided tickets for all of the children to attend a Reign home game so they could experience a hockey game live and see their new friends in action. The presence of the Danbury children proved to be good luck as the Reign beat the Las Vegas Wranglers 4-3 that night.
