
ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Monday announced the following fines and suspensions.
Colorado's Stewart fined, suspended
Colorado head coach Chris Stewart was suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #538, Ontario at Colorado, on Feb. 24.
Stewart was assessed a game misconduct under Rule #39.5 at 5:42 of the second period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.
Stewart missed Colorado's game against Ontario on Feb. 25.
Toledo's Vitucci fined, suspended
Toledo head coach Nick Vitucci was suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #553, Wheeling at Toledo, on Feb. 25.
Vitucci was assessed a game misconduct under Rule #39.5 at 9:27 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.
Vitucci missed Toledo's game against Cincinnati on Feb. 26.
Toledo's Griffith, Cincinnati's Pelech fined
Toledo's Todd Griffith and Cincinnati's Michael Pelech have each been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of their actions in ECHL Game #560, Cincinnati at Toledo, on Feb. 26.
Griffith and Pelech each received a game misconduct under Rule #46.8 - Fighting other than during periods of the game - at the end of the second period. They are fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
Chicago's DiDiomete fined
Chicago's Devin DiDiomete has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #556, Florida at Chicago, on Feb. 26.
DiDiomete was assessed a game misconduct for aggressor under Rule #46.2 at 14:39 of the third period. He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
Kalamazoo's Gill fined
Kalamazoo's Riley Gill has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #557, Wheeling at Kalamazoo, on Feb. 26.
Gill was assessed a game misconduct for abuse of officials under Rule #39.5 at 18:39 of the third period. He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
