
Labelle and Tifu Selected as Royals' Silver Skaters

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL today announced that forwards Oliver Labelle and Yannick Tifu have been selected to wear specially designed jerseys this Saturday (March 3, 2012 @ 7:05 pm) when the Royals face the Elmira Jackals at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania, as part of the Silver Skater Fantasy Team presented by the Mei Gray Group. Goaltender Jussi Rynnas has also been selected to wear a special jersey as part of the Golden Goalie program.
Fans had the opportunity to vote on ECHL.com for up to one player on each ECHL member team's ballot to help select the Silver Skaters for each team. Two players from each member team have been selected to wear the Silver Skater Fantasy Team custom-specialty game-worn jerseys with a metallic-silver front crest. Goaltenders are also be participating through the Golden Goalie Program. The starting goaltender will wear a specially designed gold jersey.
Each of the Silver Skater and Golden Goalie jerseys will be available for bid through The MeiGray Group. The Royals Silver Skater and Golden Goalie special jerseys will be available for bid starting on Monday, March 12 and running through Thursday, March 29.
The Royals return to action on Friday night (March 2, 2012 @ 7:35 pm) when the team will travel to First Arena in Elmira, New York, where they'll kick off fifteen games of hockey action in March with three in a row against the Elmira Jackals. Friday's game night broadcast will start at 7:05 pm with the Red Robin Gourmet Burger Pre-Game Warm-up Show on ESPN Radio 1240 am in Reading. Streaming audio is available free of charge courtesy of America One through the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com. As with all Royals' road games this season, Friday's game will be televised locally in Berks County, Pennsylvania, on BCTV courtesy of Boscov's Travel and the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
