Walleye Notes

- Past Week Performance: Toledo finished this past week with a 1-3-0-0 record. The week started with a tough 3-1 loss at Kalamazoo. Forward Riley Emmerson scored the lone goal for Toledo; his first with the Walleye. On Friday night, the Walleye scored three third-period goals, but it was not enough as they fell to Wheeling 4-3. Saturday, The Walleye fell behind the Nailers and could not rally in a 4-1 loss. Toledo ended the week with a strong 5-4 win against Cincinnati with Mike Thomas and Todd Griffith each scoring twice.

- Finding the Offense! Toledo found its offense on Sunday against the Cyclones with five goals. The Walleye had scored just 10 goals in the previous five games combined (1-4-0-0 record in those games). Toledo has a record this season of 8-0-1-0 when scoring at least five goals in a game.

- Packing the House! Toledo continues to lead the ECHL in total attendance (177,989) and also in average attendance (6,138 per game). Toledo had standing room only crowds of 8,200 on Saturday and 7,503 on Sunday. The Walleye have 29 total sell-outs in two plus seasons in the Huntington Center; including eight this season.

- Gametime: The Walleye will play four games in five days this week. The first is set for Wednesday in Chicago. Toledo is 6-3-0 this season against the Express with the last contest coming on January 27 (a 3-2 Walleye win). Friday night, the Walleye will host the Wheeling Nailers. The Walleye are 2-4-1 against the Nailers this season with the two losses this past weekend. Sunday afternoon, the Walleye host the Cincinnati Cyclones. Toledo has won four consecutive games against the Cyclones and is 6-4-1 this year against Cincinnati.

- Promotions: Friday night begins "Pink in the Rink" weekend presented by the Promedica Cancer Institute. The Huntington Center ice will be dyed pink for the weekend. Pink Rally Towels will be given out to first 3,000 fans on Friday. That night will feature a Mystery Puck Auction and a "Post Game Party with the Walleye Players". Sunday Afternoon continues "Pink in the Rink" with a Pom Pom giveaway to the first 3,000 fans in attendance. Fans can also meet Patrick from Sponge Bob SquarePants presented by Buckeye Cablesystem.
