Stingrays Game Preview: Stingrays Carry Pawsitive Week into Tonight

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays celebrate the Dog Days of Winter and carry a three-game winning streak into tonight's matchup against the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:05 at the North Charleston Coliseum. Tonight is the 10 of 16 meetings between to the two East-Division rivals this season.

Dog Days of Winter:

The Stingrays host the annual Dog Days of Winter contest tonight at the Coliseum. Bring your four-legged family to the game for FREE (limit two dogs per person). Enjoy the annual Dachshund Races during the intermissions.

Friday Family Four Pack:

Grab a Friday Family Four Pack (four tickets, four hotdogs, four sodas and large popcorn) for $55 at the Coliseum Box Office. All college and military tickets are $7 at the box office with ID.

Series Breakdown:

The Stingrays hold a 6-3-0-0 head-to-head record against the Gladiators this season and won six of the last seven contests. The two sides collided last weekend with the Stingrays prevailing 6-3 Sunday afternoon at the Coliseum. All time, the Stingrays sit with a 72-53-13 record.

Scoring Punch:

Over the last three games, the Stingrays outscored their opponent 18-5. Forward Derek DeBlois, who was named the ECHL Player of the Week on Tuesday, has eight points (five goals, three assists) during the winning streak.

Bellamy Hits a Milestone:

Stingrays forward Rob Bellamy skates in his 400th professional game tonight. Over the last seven seasons, Bellamy saw ECHL action with the Stingrays and Elmira Jackals and appeared in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Adirondack and Philadelphia Phantoms.
