Aces Sign Rookie Free Agent Defensemen Renwick, Poulin

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Alaska Aces, three time Kelly Cup champions, announced today that the team has signed rookie free agent defensemen Evan Renwick and Felix Poulin (poo-LANN).

Both Renwick (#7) and Poulin (#55) are available to suit up for the Aces, who start a four-game road trip tonight at 6:00 p.m. (GCI/KFQD) against the Ontario Reign at Citizens Business Bank Arena.

Renwick, 24, last skated in the Netherlands for HYC Herentals and collected 11 points and 116 penalty minutes in 14 games. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound defenseman previously suited up in 111 career college games for Robert Morris University (NCAA) with 21 points and 78 penalty minutes. He made his debut in the ECHL last season, skating in two games with Orlando.

Poulin, 24, previously had 13 points in 23 games this season for St. Thomas University (CIS) and earned 56 points and 50 penalty minutes in 107 career college games. The 6-foot-1, 203 pound defensemen was captain for the program as a 2013-14 junior and led St. Thomas in assists (17) as a freshman in 2011-12.

The Aces are the official ECHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues and Minnesota Wild of the NHL.
