THE STORY COMING IN : Greenville enters tonight's contest looking to snap a season-long, seven-game slide (0-5-2). This stretch marks the longest winless streak since the team moved to the Upstate in 2010-11. The Road Warriors are currently fourth in the East Division, sixth in the Eastern Conference and just two points ahead of Orlando for the final playoff spot in the East Division. Last time out, Greenville suffered a 5-1 setback to South Carolina at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena on Tuesday, in which forward Josh Nicholls netted the club's only goal at 17:01 of the third period. Tonight, the Road Warriors not only look to erase their current skid, but also seek their first win in regulation since Jan. 2nd, a franchise-long streak of 15 games (5-8-2).

WARRIORS VS. ICEMEN : Tonight's contest marks the third of five meetings between Greenville and Evansville this season, and the first in the Upstate. The IceMen currently lead the season-series 2-0-0 including a 6-2 victory in their last head-to-head matchup on Nov. 23rd in Evansville. Andre-Bouvet Morrissette scored two goals for the IceMen that day, while Sam Noreau and Vinny Saponari recorded Greenville's only tallies. In net, Jason Missaien stopped 20 shots but suffered the loss. The Road Warriors lead the all-time series 7-4-0.

VIEW FROM EVANSVILLE : The IceMen (12-29-6) enter tonight's contest in the cellar of the Eastern Conference and on a four-game losing streak. In fact, Evansville is just 1-7-2 over its last 10 games. The only team in the league that has struggled more over its last 10 games is Stockton (1-9-0). In their last contest on Sunday, the IceMen suffered a 6-2 loss at Fort Wayne, in which netminder Chris Driedger made 40 saves. Driedger has been one of the most active goaltenders in the ECHL this season and currently sits second in the league in saves (903) and fifth in minutes played (1,855). The IceMen continue a seven-game road trip tonight.

WARRIORS VS. GLADIATORS : Sunday's contest will mark the sixth of 11 meetings between the Road Warriors and Gladiators this season, and the second in Duluth, Georgia. Greenville leads the season-series 4-1-0, but fell in their last head-to-head matchup, 3-2, on Dec. 27th at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena. Forward Vinny Saponari earned two points that night (2a), but Gwinnett's Travis Ouellette scored the game-winning goal with just 4:09 left. The Road Warriors lead the all-time series 36-23-5.

"UN-WELL" AT THE WELL : Greenville continues a five-game homestand this evening that runs through tomorrow. The Road Warriors are 14-9-0 at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena this season, but have dropped three in a row and four of their last five. In fact, the team is just 6-8-0 on SANDLAPPER Securities Rink since Dec. 27th after starting the season 8-1-0 at home.

-

START ME UP : The Road Warriors are 15-1-1 when scoring first this season, but the team has not done so since Jan. 10th, a span of 12 straight contests. Greenville is a perfect 11-0-0 when leading after the first period and 13-0-0 when leading after two frames this season.

-

EAST ABOVE NORTH : The ECHL's East Division is currently the tightest battle in the league with just 19 points separating the top six teams. The East Division has also been miles ahead of the North this season, with a head-to-head record of 61-36-5. The Road Warriors are 10-5-0 against North Division teams this season. With 49 points, sixth-place South Carolina would be third if placed in the North Division.

-

FIGHTING SAME BATTLE : The Road Warriors' biggest dilemma in the last seven games has been scoring. Despite an average of 33 shots per game since Jan. 23rd, the club has been outscored 28-8 and has dropped to 20th in the league with 2.79 goals per game. Similarly, the IceMen are 27th in the ECHL (2.47 goals/game) and have been outscored 10-3 in their last two games.
