FACING THE FLOCK

The Oilers invade Moline, Illinois for the fourth of eight meetings this season against the Mallards and the first game of a weekend home-and-home series. The clubs will clash at the BOK Center at 7:35 p.m. on Saturday night. Tulsa is 1-1-1 versus Quad City and the only previous trip to the iWireless Arena on November 19 ended in a 4-3 shootout loss. The Mallards hold a 10-7 edge in goals scored in the series and all-time, the Oilers have been victorious in just two of their nine visits to Quad City.

MISSTEPS IN MISSOURI

Tulsa suffered a third-straight loss on Tuesday night with a 7-3 setback in Missouri. The Oilers fell to 1-5-1 against the Mavericks this season and dropped their fourth consecutive road contest. Mavs' forwards Andrew Courtney and Lindsay Sparks each notched a pair of goals and Missouri netminder Mike Clemente neutralized the Tulsa attack with 37 saves. The Oilers gave up seven goals for the third time this season and allowed multiple power play goals for the third game in a row.

READY TO RISE

Losing six of the last eight games has dropped the Oilers back to fifth place in the Central Division and back below .500 for only the third time this season. In those six losses, Tulsa has allowed an average of five goals per game and has just a 72.4-percent success rate on the penalty kill.

HELLO HIGHWAY

The Oilers spend a significant portion of the upcoming playoff push on the road as nine of the next ten games are away from home. Tulsa's one and only home game over the next 31 days is tomorrow night with a Valentine's Day tilt against Quad City. The Oilers will not return to the BOK Center until Friday, March 13 when they're slated to face the Wichita Thunder.

SWELLING SUPPORT

With a crowd of 10,794 on Friday, January 30 and a strong turnout of 8,255 last Saturday, the Oilers became one of only nine teams in the ECHL with an average attendance of over 5,000 this season. The Oilers rank seventh in the league with an average attendance of 5,103 and over the last three games at the BOK Center, the Oilers have seen an average of more than 8,500 fans.
