North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays (17-13-1-6) rallied in the third period behind a goal from forward Andrew Rowe, but dropped a 2-1 shootout decision to the Indy Fuel (9-21-4-3) at the North Charleston Coliseum Saturday evening.

After a scoreless opening period, Fuel defenseman Kirill Gotovets slipped a shot past screened Stingrays goaltender Adam Morrison (SOL, 20 saves on 21 shots) at 7:37 of the middle stanza from the right-wing circle to give Indy a 1-0 advantage heading into the intermission.

Rowe tied the contest 11:58 into the third period beating Fuel netminder Mac Carruth (W, 36 saves on 37 shots) off the left-wing circle with help from defenseman Andrew Blazek and forward Wayne Simpson. The goal sent Rowe's personal point streak to six contests with five goals and two assists during the stretch. After a quick overtime, Indy scored in the third and fourth round and Carruth stopped all four Stingrays attempts to seal the victory.
