Stampede Acquire Player Rights to Eric Griffin from Legends

BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Stampede announced today that the team has acquired the player rights of Eric Griffin from the Texas Legends in exchange for Pierre Jackson.

Griffin (6-7, 205, Campbell) appeared in 49 games (48 starts) for the Legends during the 2014-15 season, averaging 19.0 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.4 blocks in 35.2 minutes of action. He spent the previous two seasons playing overseas in in Italy, Puerto Rico and Venezuela.

A native of Orlando, Fla., Griffin attend Hiwassee Community College (2008-09) and Garden City Community College (2009-10) before transferring to Campbell University (2010-12). He averaged 15.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.4 blocks in 30.3 minutes per contest in 31 games (all starts) during his senior campaign.

The 25-year-old is currently playing for UAE basketball club Al-Nasr Dubai SC.
