Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that they have acquired guard Toure' Murry from the Texas Legends in exchange for the rights to shooting guard Andre Dawkins.
Murry, a 6-5, 200-pound guard from Wichita State, had started in 35 of his 36 games played for the Texas Legends this season. During that span, he has averaged 12.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game. His career stats are similar, averaging 10.6 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game while playing in the NBA Development League. Murry also appeared in 52 games for the New York Knicks during the 2013-14 season averaging 2.7 points and 1.0 assists per game.
Andre Dawkins, a 6-5, 215-pound shooting guard from Duke University, appeared in 30 games for Sioux Falls during the 2014-15 season.
The Skyforce will take on the Grand Rapids Drive tomorrow night, Saturday, March 5 in the second game of a back-to-back home stand. Tickets are still available. Visit any Ticketmaster location for more information.
