
Sound Tigers Returning Home This Weekend

BRIDGEPORT, CT - The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, will visit the Lowell Lock Monsters tonight at 7:35 p.m. to complete a stretch of four straight road games before beginning at three-game homestand this weekend. The Sound Tigers will host the Philadelphia Phantoms this Saturday at 7:05 p.m., the Hartford Wolf Pack this Sunday at 4:05 p.m. and the Hershey Bears this coming Wednesday, December 7th at 11 a.m.
Saturday will be "Heroes Night" with free tickets for police, fire, EMT and military personnel, as well as veterans who show their badge or credentials at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard box office. It will also be "Westport Town Night" with $8 children's tickets and $12 adult's tickets for residents who call 203-334-GOAL and mention "Westport Night". Amtrak will also present a "heroes tricycle race" during one of Saturday's intermissions.
Sunday will be "Stratford Town Night" with $8 children's tickets and $12 adult's tickets for residents who call 203-334-GOAL and mention "Stratford Night". Students from Wooster Middle School will perform the national anthem and newly-elected Stratford Mayor James Miron will take part in a ceremonial face-off prior to the game. The Greater New Haven House Mites will play a mini-game during one of the intermissions. Sunday will also be "Trivia Night" with Chaz and AJ from WPLR serving as in-stand MC's throughout the entire game.
This coming Wednesday's game will be the third-annual, educationally-themed "Cool Fun 101" morning event with $6 tickets for students and free tickets for chaperones. The day will be filled with fun and interactive lessons that relate real-life applications of Math, Science, Geography, Spelling and more to the sport of hockey. All students who attend will receive a special workbook modeled after the Connecticut Mastery Tests. Students can also write an essay about their experience and submit it to become a special reporter for a future Sound Tigers home game.
There are post-game autograph sessions following all Sound Tigers home contests as well.
