San Antonio loses to Cleveland

Pascal Rheaume scored his first goal in his third game with the San Antonio Rampage giving them their only goal of the night as the Cleveland Barons erased a four-game winless streak with their 3-1 win at the SBC Center Friday night. Rampage players wore Spurs-themed jerseys in celebration of three-time NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs, who share the SBC Center with the Rampage.

Cleveland's Baron Ryane Clowe tallied the first goal in the finale of a two-game series to give them the 1-0 lead in the opening period at the 12:32 mark. Barons forward Mike Iggulden scored on a penalty shot against San Antonio goaltender Brian Boucher to give the San Jose Shark's AHL affiliate a two goal cushion 11 minutes into the second period.

Rheaume scored at the 11:46 mark in the third period to try to start a rally for the Rampage. Mike Bishai assisted on Rheaume's goal tallying his first point after missing 11 games due to injury raising his point total to 3-4-7 on the season. Cory Pecker was also credited with an assist giving him his first point in a Rampage jersey.

Steve Bernier capped the win for the Cleveland Barons scoring on an empty net with less than a minute to go in regulation.

The Rampage go on a six-game road trip starting off in Iowa on Dec. 9 and will return to the SBC Center on Dec. 22.
