
Crunch Announce Details of Advance Auto Parts Fantasy Camp

Syracuse, NY (December 1, 2005) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today the details of the Advance Auto Parts Fantasy Camp that will be held on January 22 from 1-3 p.m.
Advance Auto Parts will be giving one (1) local hockey team the opportunity to join their organization on January 22 from 1-3 p.m. for the Advance Auto Parts Fantasy Camp with the Syracuse Crunch. The camp will feature appearances by Crunch players to coach the Advance guest players, as well as hockey skills competition. Syracuse Crunch players will be on hand to participate in the different events and sign autographs from 1-2:30 p.m. Everybody attending the camp receives a special practice jersey. From 2:30 - 3 p.m. Advance Auto Parts will hold a pizza party for all participants.
The following events will take place during the camp:
Fastest Shot - Each attending Crunch player will have his slap shot measured by radar, followed by any guest player who is interested in trying. The players will be given pointers during the guest portion of this event.
Puck Relay - Each Crunch player will be split into teams and compete in a puck relay race. Following the players, teams of Advance guest players will compete.
Rapid Fire - Advance guest players, and Crunch players will be split into teams of two. Each team will have 30 seconds to fire ten pucks on a Crunch goaltender. The team to score the most, wins.
Break-Away - The Crunch players and Advance guest players will compete in a single elimination, penalty shot event on the Crunch goaltender.
Interested teams must write a 200 word essay on why their team should be selected to participate in the Advance Auto Parts Fantasy Camp. Essays must include contact name, address and phone number. Deadline to enter is January 4.
