
P-Bruins Fall to Falcons 4-3

Providence, RI -- The Providence Bruins battled back twice from two goal deficits but fell to the Springfield Falcons 4-3 Friday night at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. Ben Guite, Nate Thompson and Eric Nickulas had the P-Bruins three goals. Guite extended his scoring streak to six games with his goal this evening.
Springfield scored twice within 25 seconds in the first period to take a 2-0 lead. Norm Milley scored his tenth goal of the season, while Andre Deveaux had his first. The P-Bruins pulled within a goal heading into the first intermission when Thompson took a pass from Jonathan Sigalet and beat Falcons goaltender Gerald Coleman.
The Falcons reopened up their two goal lead just 2:31 into the second period when Ryan Craig scored his ninth goal of the season. Providence once again answered back, this time with two goals. Nickulas scored first on a feed from Nathan Robinson to make the score 3-2 in favor of Springfield. With the Bruins on the power play minutes later Guite got free in between the circles and scored on a play set up by Eric Healey and Tyler Redenbach. The Falcons retook the lead at the end of the second period when Darren Reid scored on a 2-on-1 breakaway.
After a scoreless third period the Falcons went on to win by a 4-3 final. Jordan Siglaet started the game in net for the P-Bruins, but was relieved by Tim Thomas 3:13 into the second period. Sigalet stopped seven of ten shots, while Thomas stopped five of six. Coleman brushed aside 29 of the Bruins 32 shots. The P-Bruins power play went 1 for 7 on the evening, while the Falcons were 0 for 6 on the man advantage.
The Bruins are back in action Saturday, December 3 at the Tsongas Arena to face the Lowell Lock Monsters at 7:35 p.m. The P-Bruins return home to the Dunkin' Donuts Center Sunday, December 4 to face the Lock Monsters, at 4:05 p.m. Tickets are available online at providencebruins.com, at the Dunkin' Donuts Center box office and all TicketMaster outlets. The Providence Bruins first jersey auction of the season is underway. The P-Bruins are auctioning off the first set of gold third jerseys through a live auction on the team's website, providencebruins.com. The jersey auction will run through Friday, December 16 at 5:00 p.m. and jerseys will be shipped in time for the holidays.
Reminder: The Providence Bruins game originally scheduled for Sunday, February 12 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center has been re-scheduled for Wednesday, December 21 at 7:05 p.m. at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. All tickets issued for the February 12 game date will be valid and accepted on December 21.
