
Kings Recall Giuliano, Place Flinn On IR

MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have recalled left wing Jeff Giuliano from Manchester and have placed left wing Ryan Flinn on the injured reserve list (retroactive to November 27) with a concussion, Kings President of Hockey Operations/General Manager Dave Taylor announced today. In addition, Manchester has recalled forward Brendan Bernakevitch from the ECHL's Reading Royals, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today. Giuliano, 26, has played in seven games with the Kings this season, including his Kings/NHL debut on November 5, and has zero points and two penalty minutes. The 5-foot-9, 205-pound native of Nashua, New Hampshire, has also played in 12 games for the Monarchs, where he has eight points (4-4=8) and nine penalty minutes. He has also posted a plus-seven in the plus-minus category with Manchester.
Flinn, 25, has played in two games with the Kings this season and has zero points and five penalty minutes. The 6-foot-5, 248-pound native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, suffered the injury on November 26 in a game against Chicago at STAPLES Center. Flinn has also played in six games with the Monarchs this season, where he has one point (an assist) and 38 penalty minutes, second most on the club.
Bernakevitch, 23, has appeared in 11 games with the Monarchs this season, registering seven points (4-3=7) and two penalty minutes. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound native of Regina, Saskatchewan, participated in the Kings, Monarchs and Royals training camps this season. Bernakevitch was loaned to Reading on November 29, but did not play in a game for the Royals.
Manchester will host the Hartford Wolf Pack at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Friday, December 2 at 7:35 p.m. The Springfield Falcons come to town on Saturday, December 3 at 7:35 p.m.
