Rivermen ink forward to AHL contract

Peoria, IL (December 2, 2005) - General Manager of Hockey Operations Kevin McDonald of the Peoria Rivermen, the proud primary affiliate of the St. Louis Blues, announced today that the Rivermen have signed left wing Charles Linglet to an American Hockey League (AHL) contract and assigned him to the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL.

Linglet, 23, participated in Peoria's 2005-06 training camp as a non-roster invitee before signing a 25-game professional try-out (PTO) contract with the Rivermen. In nine games played for Peoria so far this season, the 6-2, 212-pound left wing has recorded eight points (four goals, four assists), a plus-one rating, three power-play goals, two first goals, and 11 shots. The Montreal native went undrafted after scoring 260 points (108 goals, 152 assists) in 253 career games with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League from 1999-2000 to 2002-03.

The Rivermen are a proud new member of the AHL. Founded in 1936, the AHL now serves as the primary development league for all 30 National Hockey League teams and is celebrating its 70th anniversary season in 2005-06.
