Sound Tigers Recall Peter Sivak

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (October 31, 2014) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today that forward Peter Sivak has been recalled from the club's East Coast Hockey League affiliate, the Stockton Thunder.

Sivak, 32, has played six games for the Thunder this season, posting two goals and five assists. The Cheb, Czech Republic native signed a two-way American Hockey League contract with the Sound Tigers on August 22.

The 5-foot-11 Sivak is coming off a career year in 2013-14 in which he recorded 83 points (31 G, 52 A) in 67 games for the Alaska Aces of the ECHL. His point totals were second best in the league as he helped the team to the Kelly Cup Finals. A year earlier, Sivak notched 56 points (33 G, 23 A) in 64 games with the San Francisco Bulls.

Sivak has played 12 games in the AHL, suiting up for the Worcester Sharks in 2012-13 and the Abbotsford Heat in 2013-14. Prior to coming to the US in 2012, Sivak played 12 years in Europe in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
