San Antonio Rampage News Release

SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 31, 2014) - The San Antonio Rampage will honor Andy Pardo, a member from last year's Face Off Against Kids Cancer Program, by wearing a special decal on their helmets throughout the 2014-15 season.

Andy Pardo, who passed away this summer after a battle with cancer, was a member of the 2013-14 Face Off Against Kids Cancer program. The decal, pictured below, features his initials within the program's logo. The Pardo family will take part in a special on-ice ceremony prior to San Antonio's game against the Rockford IceHogs on Saturday, Nov. 1.

"Face Off Against Kids Cancer" is a program that pairs a Rampage hockey player with a child from the Centers for Oncology and Blood Disorders at Christus Santa Rosa who is in either early stages of treatment for pediatric cancer or in remission. The players and children participate together in a series of social events over a five month period with the hopes of creating a lasting relationship and increased awareness about childhood cancer in the community.

The Rampage return home from a five-game road trip on Friday, Oct. 31 when they host the IceHogs on Zombie Night at the AT&T Center. It will also be a MIX 96.1 $1 Drink Night and the pucks is slated to drop at 7:30 p.m. Individual and season tickets can be purchased by calling a Rampage representative at 210-444-5554 or online at sarampage.com.
